Don't They Go By in a Blink?

Three months have passed since our last post and there's quite a bit of news to tell. Jessi began and has completed another semester at BYU-Idaho. After wading through an awful, and unnatural amount of feces (she is an animal science major after all!) and memorizing about a trillion parasites, she received As in every class (no real surprise there!)
Shortly after my last post I responded to an ad on the BYU bulletin board from a lady who was looking for someone to paint her son's bedroom. After completing that job, she then hired me to paint the kitchen, living room and bathroom and then to maintain her lawn. What started out as a one-time job turned into 3 months of work and I was doing that up until a week ago when I started my new job at FedEx.

My job title at FedEx is Courier, but I don't officially start that until I complete my training (they are sending me to Irvine, CA for a week, all expenses paid!) so right now I'm helping with the sorting and unloading of packages. I go in at 7am most days (sometimes 8am if I'm lucky!) and I set up the sorting area so we can begin unloading the plane containers. We scan them, tag them, and sort them onto different routes. Next we wait for the plane to come in (our warehouse backs onto an airport  and the plane pulls right up to the building). Once it lands, we marshal it up to the dock, set up the conveyor belts and begin the unload. With three of us unloading, two people scanning and tagging and the rest sorting onto different routes, it usually takes around 30mins to complete. All-in-all, I'm enjoying the experience but I'm itching to get out there and start delivering packages.
Now that I'm busy with work, Jessi is off school for 7 weeks. While she is enjoying the time off, she is starting to get a little cabin fever being stuck up in the apartment most of the day. When I get sent to training, she is going back to Texas to visit her family for a while so at least she won't be stuck here in this apartment on her own turning into Jack Nicholson from The Shining!
All work and no play makes Jessi a dull girl!
Speaking of the apartment, not much has changed. We got some new curtains and we put up some neat-looking shelves in the front room....oh, thanks to Jessi's parents, we now have a mattress!

Jessi made this in her spare time...

So before I forget, in my last posts I was waiting for my work visa and everything to come in...that came in around June.

Such a relief.

Anyway, so that's pretty much everything that's been going on in the past 3 months. Here's a few pics of stuff we've been up to:

Oh and one last thing, we received our last batch of wedding photos last week...hope you like them!
Talk to you soon!
